Northern California is the setting for this The Ambassador chapter's activities.

Ask Louise Nishikawa, F242118, president of The Ambassdors chapter, to describe the group, and she'll say, "It's more like a family, really." If you're looking for a chapter, you may want to consider spending some "family time" with these RVers based in northern California.
The Ambassadors chapter has been in existence since 1987 and currently has 21 member families. Members range in age from 50 to 93. With that span, some members are retired and some work. As a compromise, rallies are usually held from Thursday to Sunday. That way, "people who are still working can come Friday evening, Saturday, and Sunday," Louise said.
Louise and her husband, Arthur, live in Modesto, and most other chapter members are from that same region. Their rallies are held in a geographical range that generally runs as far north as Oroville and as far south as Chowchilla. Louise said that they also have visited the outskirts of San Francisco and Bodega Bay.
This portion of California offers everything from the hills where gold was mined all the way to the shining Pacific. "We have interesting places to go," Louise said. "We do have good sites and people love 'em."
The Ambassadors gather eight times each year: monthly from February through June, and then in September, October, and November. But they're such a "family" that they also meet at other times. "We get together in each others' homes at certain times just to play cards and everybody shares," Louise said. The group's camaraderie is so evident that when they are at an RV park, "People come to our site and say, 'Oh my gosh, you people are having so much fun,'" she added.
At rallies, members get involved in playing games and cards, participating in wine tastings, and more. "We celebrate Valentine's Day with skits and the Fourth of July with theme colors," Louise said. "People who join us never quit, because they just love the club."
The ladies share recipes and crochet and sewing items, and many members also like to golf. "At least half of our rallies are at or near golf courses," Louise noted. In fact, the chapter will be at The Lakes RV & Golf Resort, September 12-15, in Chowchilla. Other rallies this year will be at the Oroville/Feather Falls Casino KOA in October, and the Napa County Fairgrounds RV Park in Calistoga in November.
