Directions to the North Dakota State Fairgrounds Parking for FMCA's 74th International Convention will commence on Saturday, August 13, at 7:00 a.m. Please display your admittance card on the front windshield, lower left-hand corner of the passenger side.

The holding area will open on Friday, August 12, and is located via Burdick Expressway (Hwy. 2). Please go to the Holding Area if you wish to meet and park with friends; if your credentials are being held at Will Call; if you arrive before or after the date on your admittance card; or if you are not pre-registered for the convention. Anyone arriving at the Holding Area prior to their date of admittance will be assessed an early arrival charge of $15.\

The routes outlined here have been coordinated with local police to provide for the safety of convention-goers and to minimize traffic tie-ups as much as possible. Your cooperation is very important and is appreciated by everyone.

From The North: Take Hwy. 83 South to Hwy. 83 Bypass (west). Turn right on Hwy. 83 Bypass (west) and proceed to Hwy. 2 and 52 Bypass South. Turn left on Hwy. 2 and 52 Bypass (east). Continue on Hwy. 2 and 52 Bypass South approximately 9 miles. (Hwy. 2 and 52 Bypass turns into Hwy. 2 once you proceed under the overpass. Hwy. 2 curves to the right). Move into the left lane after mile marker 150. Turn left .25 mile past mile maker 151 into the family entrance/holding area entrance immediately after 55th Street.

From The South: Take Hwy. 83 North to Hwy. 2 & 52 Bypass (east). Turn right on Hwy. 2 & 52 and proceed approximately 4 miles. (Hwy. 2 and 52 Bypass turns into Hwy. 2 once you proceed under the overpass. Hwy. 2 curves to the right). Move into the left lane after mile marker 150. Turn left .25 mile past mile marker 151 into the family entrance/ holding area entrance immediately after 55th Street.

From The Southeast: (Hwy. 52): Take Hwy. 52 west to Hwy. 2 East. Turn right on Hwy. 2 East and proceed approximately 1.6 miles. (Hwy. 2 and 52 Bypass turns into Hwy. 2 once you proceed under the overpass. Hwy. 2 curves to the right). Move into the left lane after mile marker 150. Turn left .25 mile past mile marker 151 into the family entrance/ holding area entrance immediately after 55th Street.

From The East: (Hwy. 2): Take Hwy. 2 West — exit Hwy. Business 2 towards Minot. Proceed west on Hwy. Business 2. Turn right into the family entrance/ holding area entrance immediately after 59th Street.

From The West Or Northwest: (Hwy. 2 or Hwy. 52): Take Hwy. 2 East or Hwy. 52 East which turns into Hwy. 2 & 52 Bypass South. Continue east on Hwy. 2 and 52 Bypass South approximately 9 miles. (Hwy. 2 and 52 Bypass turns into Hwy. 2 once you proceed under the overpass. Hwy. 2 curves to the right). Move into the left lane after mile marker 150. Turn left .25 mile past mile marker 151 into the family entrance/holding area entrance immediately after 55th Street.

Directions To The Holding Area

The holding area is located on the north side of Burdick Expressway (Hwy. 2) just east of the intersection of Hwy. 2 & 52 Bypass and Burdick Expressway. Families traveling north or south on U.S. 83 and east on Hwy. 2 & 52 Bypass should go east on Hwy. 2 & 52 Bypass (circle the city to the south) and merge onto Highway 2 East. Do not take Burdick Expressway through town (refer to map). Merge onto Hwy. 2 East. Turn left .25 mile past the 151 mile marker, immediately past 55th Street, where indicated by FMCA signage.
