INTERNATIONAL AREA GATHERING, SEMINAR 1
Come one, come all to the unique International Area of FMCA, often
referred to as INTO. We have no geographic boundaries and include
members from North America, Europe, Australia, and more. INTO has 90
chapters and also oversees the many nonaffiliated members of FMCA.
We invite convention attendees to meet Jay Blumenthal, F230605, the
International Area vice president, and his wife, Donna, as they
greet guests and explain the many and varied aspects of INTO. One of
the 90 chapters may just be the one to enhance your FMCA experience.
According to our bylaws this will be our Annual Meeting and we need a quorum of chapters represented by the
national director, alternate national director, or temporary
delegate. The newly elected INTO Board will be installed and
introduced and very important items to be discussed and voted upon
include changes to the area bylaws and next year's rally. Chapters
will be recognized for their longevity milestones in FMCA, and our
newest chapter will receive their coffee pot. We urge all INTO
chapter officers to attend, since they will be bringing back
information to their chapters. Make your plans now to come to next
year's INTO rally in Harrington, Delaware, April 19-22, 2007, after
the FMCA winter convention in Perry, Georgia, March 19-22, 2007.
The meeting is scheduled earlier than those of the other areas to
accommodate International Area members who also may wish to attend
some other area meeting. See you there!

Rocky Mountain Area
Seminar 1, with Duane Pindell
Charlotte, North Carolina, is a long way from the Rocky Mountain
Area, which is a good reason to attend the Rocky Mountain Area
Gathering on Wednesday, August 16. What we lack in numbers we can
make up with in enthusiasm. Area vice president Duane Pindell and
other area officers will talk about all subjects concerning the
area. They also will bring you up to date about the Rocky Mountain
Ramble to be held October 11-14, 2006, at the Pinal County
Fairgrounds near Casa Grande, Arizona.
Western Area
Seminar 2, with Tony Vincent
The Western Area consists of 59 chapters located primarily in
California, with one chapter based in the Reno, Nevada, area.
Western Area national vice president Tony Vincent, F161584, and his
wife, Betty, and the newly elected vice president Tom Ainsley,
F182814, and his wife Joan, will be on hand to greet you. Please
join us to hear about the variety of chapter activities available.
We appreciate the support from our Western Area members, the
governing board, and the officers. We welcome non-chapter members to
the gathering and hope that you can take the time to share in the
fun and fellowship of FMCA. Many of you have already had a chance to
join us at the Western Area Rally in Indio, California. We look
forward to seeing you at our "Route 66" rally, January 10-14, 2007.
Great Lakes Area
Seminar 3, with Ginny McGrath
From the many ports on the Great Lakes and the Ohio River, through
the grassy plains and rich farmlands of Ohio and Indiana, we travel
to the crystal-clear lakes and industrial cities of Michigan, and
then across the border to the beautiful countryside of Ontario,
Canada, with its large and extremely well-kept cities. The Great
Lakes Area is as fine a place to live and visit as there is in North
America. If you call this area home, or if you would like to, please
stop by and meet Ginny McGrath, F87335, your Great Lakes Area vice
president; your newly elected vice president, Ross Boyer, F268985,
and his wife, Melanie; along with fellow Great Lakers, and learn
more about our area and its fun chapters. Come and bring a friend.
Southeast Area
Seminar 4, with George Schipper
The Southeast Area invites everyone to attend the Area Gathering
here in Charlotte! Meet with your friends and fellow FMCA/SEA
members to find out what the plans are for "A Sweetheart of a Rally"
planned for February, 2007, in Brooksville, Florida. George & Ann
Schipper, F17603, along with the Southeast Area Association Board
members, will be there to greet you and share with you the area's
plans for 2007. We also will be hosting the 2007 FMCA Winter
International Convention in Perry, Georgia, in March and will be
looking for members who are interested in volunteering for that
event.
We look forward to seeing all of our members from Mississippi,
Alabama, Georgia, and Florida at the Lowe's Motor Speedway.
Eastern Area
Seminar 5, with Judy Czarsty
Memphis, Tennessee, May 3, 4, 5, and 6, 2007, is the hot topic in
the Eastern Area. Memphis, the extreme western edge of the Eastern
Area, will be the locale of the 2007 Great Eastern Area Rally
(GEAR). Get the low-down by coming to this gathering!
The Eastern Area encompasses nine states and the District of
Columbia. It begins in the mountains of northern Pennsylvania and
runs south to the old-world charm of South Carolina. It is bordered
by the Atlantic Ocean on its eastern boundary with wonderful beaches
in Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina,
and continues westward through West Virginia to the waters of the
mighty Mississippi in Tennessee and the bluegrass of Kentucky. Of
course the nation’s capital, Washington, D.C., is nestled in the
middle. The best way to see and do the many things available in the
area is through chapter activities. There are more than 50 chapters
in the Eastern Area. They range in size from 25 to 30 members to
more than 200 members. There is a chapter waiting for you.
Exciting things are taking place in the Eastern Area and you don’t
want to miss out. Judy Czarsty F79148, Eastern Area vice president,
and her husband, Steve, will be there. All first-timers, non-chapter
members, chapter representatives, and special guests will be
recognized. There will be a photo op when Judy presents special
recognition awards to chapters celebrating significant
anniversaries, and chapter members are invited to be in the
presentation picture. You will want to take home with you the
descriptions of the various chapters in your state.
Judy also will have time to answer any of your questions. You won’t
have to push and shove to get a seat; we’ll make sure there is room
for everyone. Y’all come.
Northeast Area
Seminar 6, with Bill Conway
The Northeast Area is comprised of the six New England states; New
Jersey and New York; and north of the border there are the four
Maritime Provinces and the province of Quebec. Anyone living in this
area or on the fringe of our boundaries is welcome to meet Bill
Conway, F99081, Northeast Area vice president, and his wife, Pat,
and any current chapter members in attendance. There are 41 active
chapters with various scopes and specialties to meet most people’s
aspirations. There are brand types, activity-related types, long and
short driving distance types, and large and small sizes as well.
Some chapters have the minimum of members while some exceed 250.
Bill and Pat can inform you of the extra activities available in the
general area. One of the most rewarding things in joining a chapter
is meeting new friends with similar interests and bonding with a
small group where you make long trips together. Our annual meeting
to elect area officers will take place at this time. Chapter
presidents and national directors or the alternate national director
are asked to attend and participate in the meeting.
South Central Area
Seminar 7, with Tony Innocenti
Throughout Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Oklahoma, and
Texas, you'll find some of the nicest FMCA members in the country.
Representatives of the South Central Area’s 45 chapters and the
Six-State Rally Association are interested in telling you about the
many activities that take place in this part of the country. Many of
them will be at the South Central Area gathering along with Tony
Innocenti, F56315, South Central Area national vice president, and
his wife, Geri. They'll introduce you to some "high country" fun
through their area chapters and the upcoming Six-State Rally. Take a
few minutes to meet some new friends and learn about the South
Central Area chapters that interest you. See you there!
Midwest Area
Seminar 8, with Nelson K. Stubbs
The Midwest Area consists of Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, Nebraska,
North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, and the provinces of
Saskatchewan and Manitoba, Canada. If you are from these areas,
please plan to attend the Midwest Area gathering. Meet area national
vice president, Nelson K. Stubbs, F107765; his wife, Janet; and
other Midwest Area Cooperative (MAC) officers. Hear what's new in
the Midwest. If you're interested in joining a chapter or meeting
other RVing people such as yourself, plan to attend and enjoy the
fun. Any other business may be discussed by, or presented to, the
voting delegates.
Northwest Area
Seminar 10, with Donzella Leahy
Welcome to the Northwest Area Gathering. Our area covers Washington,
Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and Alaska, the provinces of British
Columbia, and Alberta, as well as the Yukon Territory and the
Northwest Territories, Canada. Come and visit with the Northwest
Area national vice president, Donzella Leahy, F234822, and her
husband, Bill. We appreciate the support from our Northwest Area
members, the governing board and the national officers. We welcome
non-chapter members to our gathering and hope they will join a
chapter. We feel that chapters are the lifeblood of this
organization. It is through chapters that you meet and make new
friends. There are many chances to spend time together in many of
the activities that chapters provide. Our NWA will be hosting FMCA’s
78th International Convention that will be held in Redmond, Oregon,
August 13-16, 2007. Come and join us!

USING YOUR IRA TO ENHANCE YOUR RV LIFESTYLE, SEMINAR 4
Retiring is easy; but staying retired takes some planning. Richard
Parker spent 30 years in the financial services industry before
retiring in 2003. During this seminar Richard will show attendees
financial strategies that their brokers or bankers would never share
with them. Topics will include how to buy and finance real estate,
including RV lots; how to fund and hold mortgages, earning 12 to 15
percent safely; and how to earn a guaranteed 12 percent return from
their local county government. And all of this right inside their
individual retirement account (IRA). The insight provided in this
presentation will help those who are already retired as well as
