FMCA AREA GATHERINGS
International Area
Seminar 11, 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., with Jay Blumenthal
Come one, come all to the unique International Area of FMCA, often
referred to as INTO. We have no geographic boundaries and include
members from North America, Europe, Australia, and more. INTO has 91
chapters and also oversees the many nonaffiliated members of FMCA.
We invite convention attendees to meet Jay Blumenthal, F230605, the
area national vice president, and his wife, Donna, as they greet
guests and explain the many and varied aspects of INTO. One of the
91 chapters may just be the one to enhance your FMCA experience. We
especially urge the various INTO chapter officers to attend, since
they will be bringing back information to their chapters.
Information pertaining to our 2006 INTO Rally, “An American
Celebration,” will be presented in great detail. You’ll want to save
the July 4th weekend to join us in Gillette, Wyoming, where, with
full hookups, we’ll celebrate both Canada Day (July 1st) with our
Canadian friends and July 4th, U.S. Independence Day. See you there.
The meeting is scheduled earlier than those of the other areas to
accommodate International Area members who also may wish to attend
some other area meeting.
Great Lakes Area
Seminar 4, with Ginny McGrath
From the many ports on the Great Lakes and the Ohio River, through
the grassy plains and rich farmlands of Ohio and Indiana, we travel
to the crystal-clear lakes and industrial cities of Michigan, and
then across the border to the beautiful countryside of Ontario,
Canada, with its large and extremely well-kept cities. The Great
Lakes Area is as fine a place to live and visit as there is in North
America. If you call this area home, or if you would like to, please
stop by and meet Ginny McGrath, F87335, your Great Lakes Area vice
president, along with fellow Great Lakers, and learn more about our
area and its fun chapters. Come and bring a friend.
South Central Area
Seminar 5, with Tony Innocenti
Throughout Arkansas, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Oklahoma, and
Texas, you'll find some of the nicest FMCA members in the country.
Representatives of the South Central Area’s 45 chapters and the
Six-State Rally Association are interested in telling you about the
many activities that take place in this part of the country. Many of
them will be at the South Central Area gathering along with Tony
Innocenti, F56315, South Central Area national vice president, and
his wife, Geri. They'll introduce you to some "high country" fun
through their area chapters and the upcoming Six-State Rally. Take a
few minutes to meet some new friends and learn about the South
Central Area chapters that interest you. See you there!
Rocky Mountain Area
Seminar 6, with Duane Pindell
Welcome to FMCA’s 75th International Convention. All those from the
Rocky Mountain Area have the opportunity to meet at the Area
Gathering. We will go over the activities planned for Ramble 2006
and discuss what we would like to do for Ramble 2007. Meet area
national vice president Duane Pindell, F105443, his wife Rosalie,
and officers of the Rocky Mountain Motorcoach Association. We hope
you can come and share with us.

California, with one chapter based in the Reno, Nevada, area.
Western Area national vice president Tony Vincent, F161584, and his
wife, Betty, will be on hand to greet you. Please join us to hear
about the variety of chapter activities available. We appreciate the
support from our Western Area members, the governing board, and the
officers. We welcome non-chapter members to the gathering and hope
that you can take the time to share in the fun and fellowship of
FMCA. Many of you have already had a chance to join us at the 2006
Western Area Rally, "Puttin on the Glitz, California Style." We hope
you had a good time and "Thanks" for coming.
Northwest Area
Seminar 8, with Donzella Leahy
Welcome to the Northwest Area Gathering. Our area covers Washington,
Oregon, Idaho, Montana, and Alaska, the provinces of British
Columbia, and Alberta, as well as the Yukon Territory and the
Northwest Territories, Canada. Come and visit the Northwest Area
national vice president, Donzella Leahy F234822, and her husband,
Bill, and other officers as they are excited to tell you about the
NWA "Rock, Roll & Rally in Albany, Oregon" to be held June 8-11,
2006. There will be three dinners and three full breakfasts for
rallygoers, along with fantastic entertainment, seminars, and
vendors. Our NWA will be hosting FMCA’s 78th International
Convention that will be held in Redmond, Oregon, August 13-16, 2007.
We will recognize and introduce first-timers, and chapter
representatives will provide information about their activities and
answer any questions. Come and meet our special guests.
Eastern Area
Seminar 9, with Judy Czarsty
Memphis, Tennessee, May 5, 6, & 7, 2007, is the hot topic in the
Eastern Area! This, the extreme western edge of the Eastern Area,
will be the locale of the 2007 Great Eastern Area Rally (GEAR). The
Eastern Area encompasses nine states and the District of Columbia.
It begins in the mountains of northern Pennsylvania and runs south
to the old-world charm of South Carolina. It is bordered by the
Atlantic Ocean on its eastern boundary with wonderful beaches in
Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina,
and continues westward through West Virginia to the waters of the
mighty Mississippi in Tennessee and the bluegrass of Kentucky. Of
course the nation’s capital, Washington, D.C., is nestled in the
middle.
The best way to see and do the many things available in the area is
through chapter activities. There are more than 50 chapters in the
Eastern Area. They range in size from 25 to 30 members to more than
200 members. There is a chapter waiting for you. Come to the Eastern
Area Gathering to learn about all the exciting things taking place
in the Eastern Area. You’ll have a chance to meet Eastern Area vice
president, Judy Czarsty, F79148, and her husband, Steve. The agenda
includes recognition and introduction of first-timers, non-chapter
members, special guests, and representatives from the area chapters.
There will be descriptions of the various chapters in your state
that you may want to take home with you. Judy will give you a “sneak
preview” of the 2007 GEAR Rally and the upcoming August 2006 FMCA
international convention in Charlotte/Concord. She also will have
time to answer any of your questions. You won’t have to push and
shove to get a seat; we’ll make sure there is room for everyone.
Southeast Area
Seminar 10, with George Schipper
Our members from the great states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia and
Mississippi have "traveled a long way, baby" to share time with
everyone from across our great country and Canada. We invite you to
join us for the Southeast Area gathering and share in the report on
the "Celebrate Mardi Gras at S.E.A." rally which was held in
February. Plans are already underway for 2007 and also for the
Winter National 2007 to be held in Perry, Georgia. Come on over and
find out what's coming for 2006 and 2007.
Northeast Area
Seminar 11, with Bill Conway
The Northeast Area is comprised of the six New England states; New
Jersey and New York; and north of the border there are the four
Maritime Provinces and the province of Quebec. Anyone living in this
area or on the fringe of our boundaries is welcome to meet Bill
Conway, F99081, Northeast Area vice president, and his wife, Pat,
and any current chapter members in attendance. There are 41 active
chapters with various scopes and specialties to meet most people’s
aspirations. There are brand types, activity-related types, long and
short driving distance types, and large and small sizes as well.
Some chapters have the minimum of members while some exceed 250.
Bill and Pat can inform you of the extra activities available in the
general area. One of the most rewarding things in joining a chapter
is meeting new friends with similar interests and bonding with a
small group where you make long trips together. Over the years we
have taken trips lasting two or three weeks with five to seven
motorhomes. Traveling in a caravan is the way to go. Taking photos
and videotapes of the trip and looking back later to show new
friends all the enjoyment and stories that happen on every trip,
that’s the good life. This is how lasting friendships are made.
Midwest Area
Seminar 12, with Nelson K. Stubbs
The Midwest Area consists of Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota, Nebraska,
North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, and the provinces of
Saskatchewan and Manitoba, Canada. If you are from these areas,
please plan to attend the Midwest Area gathering. Meet area national
vice president, Nelson K. Stubbs, F107765; his wife, Janet; and
other Midwest Area Cooperative (MAC) officers. Hear what's new in
the Midwest. If you're interested in joining a chapter or meeting
other RVing people such as yourself, plan to attend and enjoy the
fun. Arrangements and announcements regarding the 2006 MAC rally,
which will be held June 21-24, in Henry, Illinois, will be made. Any
other business may be discussed by, or presented to, the voting
delegates.
