issues at state and provincial levels. Don't miss this opportunity
to learn how state and provincial laws affect you and what your
association is doing on your behalf.
In addition, there will be an update on the RV Friendly program and
how it is being expanded nationwide. This program is still in the
"market testing" stage and attendees are encouraged to offer
comments on the program's requirements, suggestions as to how to
increase usage and so forth. The committee is hopeful that more FMCA
members will pursue the creation of a similar program in their home
state. There will be information available on what to do, whom to

RV WEIGHT & TIRE SAFETY, SEMINAR 3
The RV Weight & Tire Safety Program is co-sponsored by the
Recreation Vehicle Safety & Education Foundation (RVSEF), C5999, and
FMCA. The seminar will focus on "speaking the language of weight,"
providing the RV owner with the knowledge required to assure that
the vehicle is operated within all safety limitations. The
maintenance and care of tires, and the selection of the proper
inflation pressure for optimum performance and safety is a major
emphasis of the program. Did you know that under-inflated tires are
the number one cause of tire failure? Spend an hour with RVSEF and
have a safer and more enjoyable RV experience. Topics will include
weight-related definitions; weight disclosure labels; towing
components; stopping assistance; tire markings; tire load/inflation
tables; new RV considerations; and tire pressure monitoring systems.
There is no charge for this educational seminar.
In addition to the seminar, the RVSEF Motorhome Weighing Service
utilizes certified scales to determine individual wheel position
loads. Owners complete a worksheet that includes all critical weight
and tire ratings. Scale readings and ratings are entered into a
custom computer program that generates a weight analysis report,
detailing SAFETY MARGINS on each component in terms of whether or
not a rating is exceeded or not yet reached, and by how much. Owners
receive a preliminary weight report at the weighing site, followed
by a comprehensive report in the mail including tire load/inflation
tables (allow 4 to 6 weeks). The retail cost of weighing is $49.
FMCA Member Benefit price is $34. To have your coach weighed, sign
up on Monday, March 19, in the Information Center located in the
McGill Marketplace beginning at 7:00 a.m. Appointments are limited.

coverage. Even if you already have a specialty RV policy, you may be
paying more for that policy than you need to. The FMCA Five Star
Specialty Motorhome Insurance Program is currently available in 32
states. However, all FMCA members are eligible for a 5 percent “club
discount,” even if you are not in one of those states. Find out what
discounts you may be missing, and learn more about full-timers’

INTERNATIONAL AREA GATHERING, SEMINAR 1
Come one, come all to the unique International Area of FMCA, often
referred to as INTO. We have no geographic boundaries and include
members from North America, Europe, Australia, and more. INTO has
more than 90 chapters, making it the largest of FMCA's areas. We
invite convention attendees to meet Jay Blumenthal, F230605, the
area's national vice president, and his wife, Donna, as they greet
guests and explain the many and varied aspects of INTO. One of the
many chapters may just be the one to enhance your FMCA experience.
We especially urge the various INTO chapter officers to attend,
since they will be bringing back detailed information to their
chapters pertaining to our 2007 INTO Rally, "INTO Intrigue." This
rally will take place April 19-22 at the Delaware State Fairgrounds
in Harrington, Delaware, just four weeks after this convention. The
rally will feature a Block Party/Chapter Fair, games, and all the
usual rally activities — including some intrigue. If you register
while you are here at the convention, you can beat the price
increase. P.S. There is also a casino on the grounds.
The meeting is scheduled earlier than those of the other areas to
accommodate International Area members who also may wish to attend
some other area meeting. See you there.

Seminar 7, with Judy Czarsty

the Eastern Area. Memphis, the extreme western edge of the Eastern
Area, will be the locale of the 2007 Great Eastern Area Rally
(GEAR). Get the low-down by coming to this gathering!
The Eastern Area encompasses nine states and the District of
Columbia. It begins in the mountains of northern Pennsylvania and
runs south to the old-world charm of South Carolina. It is bordered
by the Atlantic Ocean on its eastern boundary with wonderful beaches
in Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina,
and continues westward through West Virginia to the waters of the
mighty Mississippi in Tennessee and the bluegrass of Kentucky. Of
course the nation’s capital, Washington, D.C., is nestled in the
middle. The best way to see and do the many things available in the
area is through chapter activities. There are more than 50 chapters
in the Eastern Area. They range in size from 25 to 30 members to
more than 200 members. There is a chapter waiting for you.
Exciting things are taking place in the Eastern Area and you don’t
want to miss out. Judy Czarsty, F79148, Eastern Area Vice President,
and her husband, Steve, will be there. All first-timers, non-chapter
members, chapter representatives, and special guests will be
recognized. You will want to take home with you the descriptions of
the various chapters in your state.
Judy also will have time to answer any of your questions. You won’t
have to push and shove to get a seat; we’ll make sure there is room
for everyone. Y’all come.Northeast Area
Seminar 8, with Bill Conway
The Northeast Area is comprised of the six New England states; New
Jersey and New York; and north of the border there are the four

types, activity-related types, long and short driving distance
types, and large and small sizes as well. Some chapters have the
minimum of members while some exceed 250. Bill and Pat can inform
you of an update on the area activities including the next area
rally. Our next area rally will be held this July 11-14, 2007, at

Parker spent 30 years in the financial services industry before

financial strategies that their brokers or bankers would never share
with them. Topics will include how to buy and finance real estate,
including RV lots; how to fund and hold mortgages, earning 12 to 15
percent safely; and how to earn a guaranteed 12 percent return from
their local county government. And all of this right inside their
individual retirement account (IRA). The insight provided in this
presentation will help those who are already retired as well as
those planning their retirement. Richard has authored five financial
planning books, including Retire & Stay
Retired — Enjoying The RV Lifestyle. The first 150 families who

WOMEN AND FINANCES, SEMINAR 3
This seminar will cover what to do when you're suddenly alone. It's
a statistical fact that women live longer than men. In addition, 50
percent of marriages in America end in divorce. When you couple
these two statistics, it is a bright yellow caution flag to women;
you must understand the finances that affect your life. This seminar
will show you steps that every married woman should take to be
prepared to handle her finances alone. Topics will include how to
establish credit in your name; how to handle your assets during a
second marriage; and how finances can even enter into the grieving
process when you lose a spouse. And then of course there is your
motorhome. Do you sell it, downsize, or store it? After all, isn't
RVing really a two-person lifestyle? The answer may surprise you.
This and much more will be covered in this powerful seminar. Whether
you are a pre- or post-retiree, married or single, married for 50
years, or starting a second marriage, this seminar is for you.
Presented by Richard Parker of Educational Seminars Of America,
C10916. Richard has authored five financial planning books,
including Retire & Stay Retired — Enjoying
The RV Lifestyle. The first 50 families who attend this seminar
will receive a free copy of the book.
