BLOOD DRIVE
Monday, March 19
10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Give
blood and save lives at FMCA's Blood Drive. All blood types are
needed. Most people are eligible to donate blood if they weigh at
least 110 pounds, are 17 or older, and haven't given blood in the
last 56 days. There is no upper age limit. People with controlled
high blood pressure, diabetes, and those who have not had a
recurrence of cancer within five years are eligible. All eligible
blood donors are urged to make it a priority to give blood. Stop by
the Blood Mobile located north of the Clock Tower.
CHAPTER FAIR
Monday, March 19
1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Reaves Arena While it is
wise to learn from experience, it is wiser to learn from the
experiences of others. Come find out the best-kept secret of
FMCA — chapter membership. It’s the best way to enjoy your FMCA
experience. Many chapters will be displaying their wares and sharing
their enthusiasm. Stroll through the decorated tables and catch the
excitement for this way of life. The variety of chapters will
astound you. Check them out and see if there might be a chapter
where you would feel comfortable. This may be the one event that
could change your life forever.
CHARITY
FMCA "can" make a difference in the lives of many families in the
Perry, Georgia, area by supporting the official charity for FMCA's
77th International Convention: Perry Volunteer Outreach.
To assist the food pantry, convention
attendees are asked to bring a canned good or other food item to the
Information Center in McGill Marketplace beginning on Sunday, March
18. Perry Volunteer Outreach will pick up these items during the
convention. The last pickup will be Thursday afternoon.

and doughnuts will be provided at the Coffee Hour area, located at
the Jayco Entertainment Stage in Sheep Barn 1, each morning
beginning at 7:00 a.m., while quantities last, compliments of
Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, C9158, an FMCA Super Star sponsor

Watch out for the "Surprise Patrol," which will be randomly
rewarding members for participating in various events during FMCA's
77th International Convention. Prizes awarded will be in the form of
cash certificates that may be redeemed at participating exhibitors
and food concessions. Please see "Surprise Patrol" in this section
of the convention program for more information. Have fun!
ENTERTAINMENT STAGES
There are three entertainment areas and stages at the 77th
International Convention. The "Jayco Daytime Entertainment Stage" is
located at the Coffee Hour area in Sheep Barn 1. The "Georgia
Jubilee" stage is located in the coach display area, between the
Newmar, Newell, and Sportscoach displays.
The evening entertainment stage is
located in the Flying J Reaves Arena.

Seminar 8, Sheep Barn II “Early
Morning Workout For All,” which will incorporate exercise
demonstrations from the TravelFit Rehab Series seminars — Shoulder,
Knee, and Back Health — will be presented by Wayne and Dahelia Hunt,
F235156. These health, exercise, and resistance-training specialists
have been full-time RVers since 1995, and are
health-wellness-fitness-performance educators and national
presenters with more than 25 years of experience in their field.
TravelFit and Professional Fitness Instructor Training are in
association with the American College of Integrative Medicine. Wayne
and Dahelia are directors of the Health Fitness Performance
Institute in Houston, Texas. Exercise is medicine.
HEALTH FAIR
Monday, March 19
10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
North Concourse, Reaves Arena
Houston Health Care will screen for at least five risk factors
including blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol, and triglyceride
level (complete cholesterol including LDL, HDL, risk factor ratio,
and glucose). The tests will be done by registered nurses who will
be available after the tests for counseling and education. There
will be other educational health-related material available. The
blood pressure checks are free. The fees for the other tests are:
glucose screening $1; lipid panel, total cholesterol, triglyceride
level $25. Cash or checks are accepted at the time of the test.
Individuals will have results before leaving the Health Fair.
ICE CREAM SOCIAL
Wednesday, March 21, 1:00 p.m.
Ice cream will be provided at the "Georgia Jubilee" Stage, located
between the Newmar, Sportscoach, and Newell exhibits in the
motorhome display area, compliments of Dempsey & Siders Agency,
C11039, an FMCA Two Star sponsor.
ORIENTATION FOR FIRST-TIME ATTENDEES

12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Seminar 6, Heritage Hall Don
Eversmann, F240000, executive director of FMCA, and FMCA commercial
services supervisor Maureen Mullarkey will conduct a seminar to
introduce first-time attendees to the fun, spirit, activities, and
opportunities related to FMCA membership and attending rallies and
conventions. Be sure to bring your convention program.
QUILT EXHIBIT
Sunday, March 18, 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Monday through Thursday, March 19-22, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
If you love quilting or just enjoy
seeing the handiwork of others, be sure to stop by this special
exhibit of quilted items made by Georgia artists and gathered by
members of the Crossroads Quilt Guild. The exhibit can be viewed
during the Information Center's normal operating hours. A guild
member will be in the exhibit each day to talk with visitors.
Additionally, you can buy a chance to win a wonderful
machine-embroidered 40-inch-by-56-inch cherry blossom wall/lap
quilt. QUILTS FOR KIDS
EXHIBIT

Come and see the children's quilts made
and donated by On-Road Quilters. The quilts will be donated to the
children's hospital, the area police and fire departments, and
shelters for battered women as part of Crossroads Quilt Guild's
ongoing project. RED HAT TEA

and FMCA. "When I am an old
woman … I shall wear purple with a red hat which doesn't go, and
doesn't suit me … But maybe I ought to go practice a little now."
Ladies, take these words from the poem "Warning," by Jenny Joseph,
and join in on the fun of FMCA's own version of the Red Hat Society.
Wear your red hat, purple dress, and bring your favorite tea cup.
Iced tea and refreshments will be served. Special entertainment will
be provided by Rick Hubbard with the Kazoobie Kazoo show. A $1
donation will be collected at the sign-up table in the Information
Center in McGill Marketplace beginning Monday, March 19, at 7:00

Watch out! The FMCA "Surprise Patrol" will be looking for members
having fun around the convention grounds. Surprise Patrol members
may be spotted in seminar rooms, exhibit areas, entertainment
locations, and even on trams, rewarding members with special $5 to
$20 cash certificates that may be redeemed at participating supplier
exhibitors and food vendors. |
