Family Motor Coach Association is pleased to announce the dates and locations for FMCA Family Reunion and Motorhome Showcases.
Perry, Georgia, March 17 to 20, 2014: FMCA’s 89th Family Reunion and Motorhome Showcase
FMCA’s 89th Family Reunion and Motorhome Showcase — "Passport to Perry" — will be held Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, March 17, 18, 19, and 20, 2014, at the Georgia National Fairgrounds and Agricenter in Perry, Georgia.
The 2014 gathering will be the eighth time FMCA has held a convention in Perry. The 1,100-plus-acre Georgia National Fairgrounds and Agricenter has become a popular place for RV rallies, with its spacious parking facilities; expansive meeting, exhibition, and entertainment venues; and convenient location just off Interstate 75.
The Perry conclave is one of two conventions FMCA will host in 2014; the second will be at Redmond, Oregon, August 13 to 16, 2014.
Redmond, Oregon, August 13 to 16, 2014: FMCA's 90th Family Reunion and Motorhome Showcase
Family Motor Coach Association will holds its 90th Family Reunion and Motorhome Showcase at the Deschutes County Fair & Expo Center in Redmond, Oregon. The dates for the event, dubbed "High Desert Sunrise," will be August 13 to 16, 2014.
The 2014 event will mark FMCA's fifth visit to Redmond, having met in the city in 2001, 2004, 2007, and 2010 as well.
Set on 320 acres in the heart of Central Oregon, the Deschutes County Fair & Expo Center seems tailor-made for a Family Motor Coach Association motorhome owners gathering.
A total of 100 acres of parking are available, and motorhome owners enjoy a spectacular view of seven snowcapped mountain peaks during their stay. Clean, attractive facilities accommodate the various convention activities, and beautifully landscaped grounds make for pleasant strolling between venues and events.
Plus, the warm, sunny days and cool nights afforded by Central Oregon’s high desert climate make this an appealing spot to gather. Average summer temperatures range in the mid-80s for highs to the mid-40s for lows. And with an average annual rainfall of only 8-12 inches, Central Oregon averages 250 days of sunshine each year.
“The folks in Central Oregon always seem to welcome FMCA with open arms,” said FMCA executive director Jerry Yeatts. “The Deschutes County Fair and Expo provides a great venue for the FMCA Family Reunion behind the backdrop of the beautiful Cascades. FMCA's Tour Connection, powered by Fantasy RV Tours, has put together some outstanding caravans that lead right up to this grand event in Redmond. We look forward to experiencing all the excitement and adventure of meeting in the great Northwest.”
Pomona, Calif., March 26 to 29, 2015: FMCA's 91st Family Reunion and Motorhome Showcase
In March 2015, FMCA will make a return visit to Fairplex in Pomona, California. Fairplex provides a nearly ideal setting for an FMCA event, including paved parking for not only the motorhomes that are on display but also for all of the families attending in their homes on wheels.
Set on more than 480 acres, Fairplex is billed as the “largest multi-use playground in Southern California.” The March 26 to 29, 2015, event — FMCA’s 91st Family Reunion and Motorhome Showcase — will mark FMCA’s seventh Reunion at this popular, first-class facility.
Madison, Wisc., July 29 to Aug. 1, 2015: FMCA's 92nd Family Reunion and Motorhome Showcase
FMCA will return to Madison, Wisconsin, in 2015 for its 92nd Family Reunion and Motorhome Showcase. The event will take place at the Alliant Energy Center July 29 through August 1, 2015.
“We had a fantastic event there in August 2011,” FMCA president Charlie Adcock said, "and we have been looking forward to returning ever since. The Alliant Energy Center is a terrific host facility, plus Madison and the surrounding area have so much for motorhome families to do and see.”
FMCA first hosted an event at the site back in 1984 when it was known as the Dane County Exposition Center. Various improvements made since then, including the addition of the 225,000-square-foot Exhibition Hall, have added to the appeal of the facility when it comes to accommodating an FMCA event.
The Madison 2011 Family Reunion drew a total of 2,143 motorhomes to the site. FMCA officials expect an even better turnout in 2015, given renewed interest in the motorhome lifestyle since the end of the recession.
We look forward to seeing you at the next FMCA Family Reunion and Motorhome Showcase. All motorhome owners and members of the general public are invited to attend. For more information about current and future FMCA events for motorhome owners, call FMCA at (800) 543-3622 or (513) 474-3622.
