FMCA seeks best Road Chef

FMCA Road Chef Contest for MadisonFMCA will hold its first Road Chef Contest, produced by Rollin' On TV, at the association’s 86th Family Reunion in Madison, Wisc., in August. Valuable prizes await the three finalists chosen to prepare a one-pot meal in 30 minutes or less.

Send in one of your favorite recipes by Friday, July 15 … you could be donning your chef’s hat in Madison to put your recipe to the test — and possibly win the title of Best Road Chef!

The Road Chef contest and awards presentation will be broadcast on Rollin' On TV stations and available for viewing at www.rollinontv.com. Rollin' On TV programs are telecast in more than 30 cable-TV outlets and on various over-the-air stations.

How to Enter

Entering the Road Chef contest is easy. Submit your favorite one-pot recipe — that can be prepared in 30 minutes or less — via e-mail to .

  • Remember to include your full name and FMCA membership number, for contact purposes.
  • Please indicate whether or not you will be attending the Madison Family Reunion.
  • One recipe entry per person, please.

The three “best” recipes will be hand-selected by our hungry staff. In Madison, the crew from Rollin' On TV will film the recipe finalists preparing and cooking their recipe at their motorhome.

On Saturday, Aug. 13, a live tasting will take place on stage, and Rollin’ On TV will show film segments of the preparation process.

Judges will evaluate the dish based on creativity, ease of preparation and, of course, the "yummy" factor.

There will be one grand-prize winner and prizes for the two runners-up.
