Redmond Exhibits Review

FMCA's "Cascade Mountain Magic" convention this month in Redmond, Oregon, will present a vast lineup of motorhomes and related merchandise.

By Jim Brightly and Peggy Jordan
FMC staff

An FMCA convention presents a motorhome showcase like no other, with the newest and most innovative motorhome models and floor plans, plus the most outstanding converted coaches. This month, dozens of motorhome manufacturers and coach conversion companies will display new homes on wheels at FMCA's 72nd International Convention at the Deschutes County Fair and Expo Center in Redmond, Oregon. And that's just the beginning. In all, almost 350 companies will be involved in presenting their wares to FMCA members. It's enough to make anyone want to check a list, which is the purpose of this article.

All exhibits will be open to convention-goers between 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, August 17, 18, and 19. In addition, on Monday, August 16, a "Motorhome Preview" will take place from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the outdoor exhibit area. Because so many motorhomes will be displayed, this extra shopping time surely will be appreciated. FMCA's newest convention exhibit feature, which debuted at the association's Albuquerque, New Mexico, convention in March, will be reprised in Redmond: Class C Lane. During the Motorhome Preview and continuing throughout the convention, a specially designated area will be filled with the newest type C (and type B) motorhomes built by various manufacturers, all parked in one convenient location. Anyone who is thinking of switching to a smaller coach or would like to introduce a relative or friend to the motorhome lifestyle will want to meander down Class C Lane in Redmond.

The following compendium of companies that will be exhibiting at the Redmond convention, and brief descriptions of the products they will display, was accurate as of press time. Subsequent additions and deletions may alter the list.
