FMCA National Senior Vice President

Allen Rein, F214273

Allen and his wife, Glenda, joined FMCA and the Rocky Mountain chapter in 1996. Allen was elected national senior vice president in July 2011. Prior to this, he served as national vice president, Rocky Mountain Area from 2007-2011. He served as chairman of the Long-Range & Development Committee from 2007-2011 and a member of the Management Committee from 2009-2010. He has been a member of the Convention Committee since 2009 and has served as chairman since 2011. His other national committee service includes Membership/Member Services Committee, 2007-2008; IT & Communications Committee, 2006; and Nominating Committee, 2005-2006. He also is a member of the Wage Review Board.

He served as Rocky Mountain Area senior vice president and Ramble rally master from 2005-2007; region 1 vice president from 2003-2004; commercial chairman, 2002-2003; and commercial captain, Rocky Mountain Ramble, 2000-2002.

On the chapter level, he has served as national director, Southern Colorado Majestics, 2005-2007; president, Rocky Mountain Chapter, 2000-2002; and vice president, Rocky Mountain Chapter, 1999-2000. He and Glenda belong to seven FMCA chapters and are charter members of four chapters. They were instrumental in forming four new chapters in the Rocky Mountain Area.

Allen retired from the State of Colorado Department of Revenue as senior systems analyst and computer programming manager. He was elected to the West Douglas County Fire Protection District Board of Directors and served for 10 years. He was an officer for the Denver Police Department. He is a graduate of Parks School of Business with educational training in the field of computer programming and was a programming instructor for the school. He served in the Army National Guard, 3650th Ordinance Company, for 8 years.

Allen and Glenda have been married for 55 years.  They enjoy traveling in their motorhome and visiting their children and grandchildren, as well as attending as many area and chapter rallies as feasible. They live near the Arkansas River in Colorado and, when time permits, enjoy stream fishing.  Allen has an interest in street rods and owns a 1939 Chevy, which he says is a work in progress.
