Connie Pool, L140306
Connie and her husband, Corbett, joined FMCA in January 1991. Connie served as FMCA national president from 2007-2009. Prior to that, she served as national senior vice president from 2005-2007, and national treasurer from 2001-2004.
She has served as a member of the Constitution and Bylaws Committee since August 2011 and also served as chairman of that committee from 2005-2007. During 2003-2004 she served as chairman of the Audit Committee. She and Corbett were actively involved with the Youth Activities Committee for a number of years, serving as members from 1993-1997 and as cochairmen from 1997-1999 and from 2001-2004.
Connie served as chairman of the Audit Committee for the International Area in 2002, 2003, 2004, and 2011. She also was chairman of the South Central Area Bylaws Committee from 2009 to 2011.
She and Corbett are members of a number of chapters, including Collegiate Support (charter member), Foretravel International, Friends of Children (charter member), FMCA Chapter: Habitat for Humanity® (charter member), Parking Layout, Past National Officers, and Roamin’ Catholic International (charter member). Connie is the current president and national director for Roamin’ Catholic International and also has served in various chapter offices in the Colonial Virginians and Friends of Children chapters. She and Corbett have participated in more than 30 Habitat for Humanity Builds with both the FMCA Chapter: Habitat for Humanity® and the Collegiate Support Chapter, serving as build team leader, assistant build team leader, and build team member. The most recent was as build team leaders in Hamilton, Ohio, after FMCA’s 87th convention in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Connie served 22 years of active duty in the United States Marine Corps, retiring as a lieutenant colonel in 1993. She holds a bachelor of arts in accounting from the University of South Florida and a master of accounting degree from the University of Hawaii. She is a certified public accountant.
