FMCA National Vice President, Northeast Area

Paul and his wife, Diane, joined FMCA in 2001.  In 2002 they joined the Frustrated Maestros NE – Yankee Doodle Dandies chapter and he served as vice president and then president of the chapter. They also joined several other Frustrated Maestros chapters.

From 2007-2008, Paul served as Northeast Area second vice president and as commercial coordinator and seminar coordinator for the 2008 Northeast Area Rally (NEAR). Paul was elected first vice president of the Northeast Area in 2008. He served as rally master and commercial coordinator for NEAR 2009. He was elected national vice president, Northeast Area, in 2009 and recently was re-elected for a second term.

Paul was as member of FMCA’s Governmental and Legislative Affairs Committee from 2007-2012, serving as chairman for the 2011-2012 term. He also served on the Anniversary Committee in 2011-2012.
He has been involved in various forms of community service in New York over the years: fire department member; church trustee; a school board member; and EMT and crew captain for an ambulance corps. He was president of Parents without Partners in Saratoga County, New York, and co-founder of “Step by Step,” a support and counseling group for step and blended families. He is founder and president of Friendship Animal Sanctuary, a 501(c)(3) no-kill facility for homeless companion animals. Paul also is the founder and president of Veteran’s Hope Foundation, a not-for-profit group that assists disabled veterans with housing, transportation, securing benefits, and other needs. He recently was asked to form New York chapter for Pets for Vets, a group that provides companion animals for military veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress syndrome.

Paul graduated from Ballston Spa High School in New York and then attended the Greyhound Drivers School, serving as a driver and then an operations supervisor until 1978. A professional driver since 1959, he also served upstate New York schools as a bus driver, dispatcher, transportation supervisor, and state certified 19A examiner. He has operated his own tour and travel business since 1989.
