Bowling, miniature golf, the Toledo Zoo and Cedar Point amusement park are among the fun trips and activities planned for youths who attend the Bowng Green convention.
FMCA TEENAGE TRAVELERS (TATS) Age Groups: TOTS 2-5, TWEENS 6-9, PRE-TEENS 10-12, TATS 13-18 TATS OFFICERS President – David Hartley, F31950 1st Vice President – Philip Marlowe, F267754 2nd Vice President – Stephanie Waller, F387160 3rd Vice President – Annah Waller, F387160 REGISTRATION AND GENERAL INFORMATION The TOTS, TWEENS, PRE-TEENS, and TATS Centers and the Youth Program Registration Table are located in the Kreischer Quadrangle. Follow the arrows for the appropriate Youth Centers and the Youth Program Registration Table locations. The last chance to sign up for an activity is 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21. Request for cancellations and refunds also must be made no later than 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21. Parents (or guardians) must accompany TATS, PRE-TEENS, TWEENS, and TOTS for registration and must complete the administrative forms in order for their children to participate in the activities or visit the Youth Centers. The Youth Bus Stop is located near the Youth Centers and will be appropriately marked. Transportation for all youth activities held at locations off the convention grounds will depart from and return to the Youth Bus Stop. Please report to the bus stop 15 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time so all children can be accounted for prior to departure. If your child has not been given permission for unsupervised movement around the convention grounds, you must bring them to the appropriate Youth Center for check-in 20 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time. The children will be taken to the bus stop by the Youth Center supervisors. If you meet the bus on its scheduled return and your child was checked in the Youth Centers before the trip, the child must be taken to the Youth Center and checked out before the child leaves the area. If the weather permits, there will be outdoor equipment available for check-out by youth who are authorized unsupervised movement. The outdoor equipment includes volleyballs and nets, Frisbees, soccer balls, footballs, and a rope for tug-of-war. TOTS CENTER (AGES 2-5) The TOTS CENTER is located in the Kreischer Quadrangle. The center is staffed by volunteer supervisors who oversee the children’s indoor activities and chaperone all outings. The center is fully equipped with tables and chairs, games and all sorts of neat things to keep the little ones fully occupied. Walt Disney and other “G”-rated movies are shown at various times during the day. Parents/guardians are welcome and encouraged to participate in all TOTS’ activities. Hours of Operation: Monday, July 20: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 21: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 22: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Thursday, July 23: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. NOTE: We are unable to accommodate children in TOTS’ activities who are not “potty trained.” TWEENS (AGES 6-9) and PRE-TEENS (AGES 10-12) CENTERS The TWEENS and PRE-TEENS Centers are located in the Kreischer Quadrangle. During the hours of operation, they will be staffed by volunteer supervisors who monitor the Centers’ activities and accompany the children on outings both on and off the convention grounds. The centers have video games, movies, cards, board games, puzzles, craft materials, and remote-controlled cars. Hours of Operation: Monday, July 20: 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 21: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 22: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Thursday, July 23: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. TATS CENTER (AGES 13-18) The TATS Center is located in the the Kreischer Quadrangle and will be supervised during its hours of operation except when there is a scheduled outing. During off-site outings, the TATS Center will remain open, but a supervisor will not be present. The TATS Center will be stocked with teenage-oriented games, movies, and music. (You are welcome to bring your favorite tapes and CDs -- majority rules on music selections!) Flakey will be at the registration table to amaze you with his magic and balloon sculpting. He also will visit the various centers during this time. 5:00 p.m. TOT Center Closed. 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. TWEENS, PRE-TEENS, and TATS – PIZZA PARTY. Come join the fun and meet new friends. There will be plenty of pepperoni and cheese pizza, and sodas for everyone. The cost for this activity is $3. 6:30 p.m. TWEENS, PRE-TEENS, and TATS Centers closed.

Flakey will entertain you at the registration table as you progress through the sign-up process. 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. TWEENS, PRE-TEENS, and TATS – AL MAR LANES. We head to Al Mar Lanes for some bowling fun. Have your group of four ready when you arrive so you can get your shoes and be assigned to a lane. The cost for this outing is $6.50. 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. TWEENS, PRE-TEENS, and TATS – PERRY FALLS MINIATURE GOLF. Get ready to play 18 holes of adventure-style golf with waterfalls, streams, and ponds. The cost is $7. 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. TOTS, TWEENS, PRE-TEENS, and TATS – TOLEDO ZOO. With more than 5,300 animals representing 760 species, the Toledo Zoo is one of the world’s most complete zoos – it’s also the region’s top family destination! Break loose from your everyday routine and ride on! Scream while riding one of 17 incredible coasters (more than any other amusement park), blast into the sky, spin, soar, and plummet. Chill out on a real steam-powered train; relax on a boat ride; see amazing live shows; or get wet and wild at Soak City waterpark. More than six dozen rides offer the ultimate in excitement and variety. The cost is $35. There will be an Oreo Stacking Contest with prizes for parents and kids who can’t go to Cedar Point. 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. TOTS will enjoy a Happy Meal for only $3. Parents or grandparents/guardians are always invited, but they must bring their own lunch. 3:00 p.m. TOTS – ICE CREAM PARTY. Our TOTS also will get to enjoy an ice cream social and the best part is they will not have to fight the crowds to get theirs.
