Our current motorhome: A 1994 Fleetwood Bounder 34J Three words that best describe our motorhome: Lots of fun We decided to buy a motorhome because: We wanted our cat, JJ, to go with us. It’s the truth. The best thing about our motorhome: We can go and stop as we like. Having JJ with us. Other motorhomes we’ve owned: None Our occupations: Nina retired from Dow Brands after 31 years. I (Jim) retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years. We owned our own truck and hauled cargo in all lower 48 states and Canada. Children, grandchildren: We have six children, 10 grandchildren and 11 great grand kids. We travel in our motorhome: Approximately six to seven months of the year. When we’re not motorhoming, we’re at home doing projects around the house. Our favorite motorhoming destinations: We have seen and been to many places. A favorite would be hard to say. Our all-time favorite motorhome trip or motorhoming memory: Mount Rushmore always comes up first. Our “dream” motorhome trip: Start at home, go south to Florida, get on Interstate 10 and head to California. Our worst motorhoming experience: Being stuck after an all-night rain. Coach-Net pulled us out. It rained so hard we felt the coach sinking. The folks at the campground said we had 6 inches of rain overnight. Our motorhoming pet peeve: Gas prices Something about motorhoming that we know now but did NOT know when we started: We knew nothing about motorhoming, and we are still learning. When driving a motorhome, the most important thing to remember is: Be alert. Our advice for other motorhome owners: Let your conscience be your guide. Our hobbies are: We like to sightsee, and walk if we can sit some. Favorite campground: One of the nicest was Brookville, Ohio, KOA. When motorhomers visit our state or hometown, they should be sure to see: Indianapolis Motor Speedway Indianapolis 500 Hall of Fame Museum Items that we always keep in our motorhome’s refrigerator while traveling: Water, coke and orange juice. I am diabetic, so OJ is a must.
