Our current motorhome: a 40-foot 2002 Country Coach Magna Three words that best describe our motorhome: Comfortable, smooth, good-living The best thing about our motorhome: Size, layout, fun and a nice driver Other motorhomes we’ve owned: None. We had trailers. We decided to buy a motorhome because: Convenience, lifestyle, comfort Our occupations: We’re both retired. Children, grandchildren: We have seven children and 10 grandchildren. We travel in our motorhome: Approximately three months of the year. When we’re not motorhoming, we’re at home wishing we could go. Our favorite motorhoming memories: Going places and making new friends Our perfect day of motorhome travel: To have perfect weather and see wonderful sights. Our worst motorhoming experience: Super bad traffic and bad roads Our motorhoming pet peeve: Bad drivers The best addition we’ve made to our motorhome: New floors and a couch and table If we could change one thing about our motorhome, it would be: Add a drop-down TV. Something about motorhoming that we know now but did NOT know when we started: Remembering all of the items needed to be ready to leave When driving a motorhome, the most important thing to remember is: Watch out for bad drivers and potholes. Our advice for other motorhome owners: Just have fun and take it all in. Our hobbies: Art, automobiles, travel ... most of all, family Favorite restaurant: Any with good and healthy food If we were awarded a shopping spree at the store of our choice, the store we’d choose is: Macy's Favorite campground: Any with a nice spot, clean and well laid out … with an ocean or Lake view. When motorhomers visit our state or hometown, they should be sure to see: The ocean and the wine country. If you like parks we have lots in the San Diego area. Items that we always keep in our motorhome’s refrigerator while traveling: Everything that we have at home What’s the best motorhoming advice you’ve ever received: Check out your motorhome before you leave. Our advice to new motorhomers: Get to know your motorhome. Remember to make a list, because you’re going to forget something. Pack cabinets well and make sure everything is secure. Behind our motorhome, we tow: A Saturn Vue XR Tow bar Pets that travel with us: A small dog When we’re online, Web sites we like to visit: We are all over the place … lots of sites. A technical or travel tip we’d like to share with other motorhome owners: Carry a cell phone that works everywhere, a laptop computer, a small tool kit and a first-aid kit. We joined FMCA because: We thought the Association would help us know RVing better, and also to go to the Redmond 2010 convention. FMCA chapters that we belong to: Southwest Country Coachers, CAT RV Club, Elk International Other comments: We have met some great people through FMCA and have had some great times already.
