FMCA membership number: F319308 Our current motorhome: 1999 Monaco Diplomat Three words that best describe our motorhome: Home away from home, Quick to Clean! The best thing about our motorhome: Allows us to travel the country! Other motorhomes we’ve owned: Rented ones for trips We decided to buy a motorhome because: We wanted to travel! And take our home with us! Our occupations: Bob: Online RV Spots/camping website: www.pictorialcampgrounddirectory.com www.campgroundimages.com ; www.pamelastephens.com. He is also a retired sheriff and a former Real Estate Agent. Pam: business owner, retreat/conference speaker/writer. Children, grandchildren: We have two grown daughters and two grandsons living in California. We travel in our motorhome: Approximately two months of the year. When we’re not motorhoming, we’re enjoying our home in the Ozarks of Arkansas! Running our businesses, genealogy research. Our favorite motorhoming destinations: Maine; Banff, Alberta, Canada; Dam Site Park on Beaver Lake, Arkansas; and any place that is gorgeous! Our all-time favorite motorhome trip or motorhoming memory: Belfast, Maine, RVing right next to the ocean, having lobster brought to our door; also, exploring Camden and Bar Harbor, Maine. Our dream motorhome trip: We love to see our beautiful country: beaches, free diesel would be nice! Our perfect day of motorhome travel: Travel for three to four hours, set up, explore the area, either cook a great meal or find a fantastic restaurant in the area, and sleep in our own bed (never have to tote suitcases in and out of a hotel). Our worst motorhoming experience: Pulling into a terrible “RV” park that had uneven pad and only 30-amp electric. That’s why we started CampgroundImages.com, a pictorial campground directory), so we could SEE the RV park before we landed there. Our motorhoming pet peeve: No Wi-Fi or Internet in the area The best addition or alteration we’ve made to our motorhome: Banks Power System! If we could change one thing about our motorhome: Get a new diesel model, perhaps an Alpine or a Country Coach. When driving a motorhome the most important thing to remember is: Be careful! Don’t be in a hurry! Double check before you take off! Our advice for other motorhome owners: Talk to owners before you buy one. Some motorhomes are much better than others; some require More “repair” than others. Our hobbies: Pam: genealogy, scrapbooking. Bob: photography, Texas hold-em, auctions. Favorite restaurants: P.F. Chang’s China Bistro, Bonefish Grill, Abuelo’s Mexican testaurant (all nearby us); Claim Jumper, In-N-Out-Burger (California) A celebrity we admire: Sean Hannity Something others would be surprised to know about us: We’ve been married 41 years! If we were awarded a shopping spree at the store of our choice, the store we’d choose is: Best Buy or QVC Favorite campground: We have many. The Moorings in Belfast, Maine (get lobster right at your door); Dam Site Park at Beaver Lake, Ark.; and Maumelle Lake, an Army Corps park near Little Rock, Ark. When motorhomers visit our state or hometown, they should be sure to see: Contact me, I’ve been to them all: Devil’s Den State Park, Dam Site Park, Beaver Lake; Bull Shoals-White River State Park. Items that we always keep in our motorhome’s refrigerator while traveling: Steaks, ice cream, white wine Our advice to new motorhomers: Enjoy it! Keep duplicate cosmetics, hair dryers, etc. in the motorhome so you don’t have to move back and forth from home to motorhome. Behind our motorhome, we tow: aToyota Tundra When we’re online, Web sites we like to visit: Google, QVC, PictorialCampgroundDirectory.com We joined FMCA because: We love it, and the magazine!
