Jayco touts 2011 Embark for power, luxury Print E-mail

Jayco Inc. has designed its 2011 Embark Type C motorhome with power and luxury in mind.

The Embark is built on a Freightliner M2 chassis and equipped with an 8.3-liter, 350-horsepower Cummins ISC diesel engine. The transmission is an Allison 3200 TRV six-speed automatic.

With a 20,000-pound towing capacity, the Embark has enough power to tow virtually any boat, vehicle or trailer.

The Embark’s 55-degree turning radius, cruise control and air brakes with ABS are designed to enhance drivability.

Jayco touts the 2011 Embark Type C motorhome for its power and luxury features.The Embark is 40 feet long with multiple slideouts. Interior features that come standard include FlexSteel UltraLeather furniture with an optima hide-a-bed sofa; Washington glazed maple cabinetry; stylish nickel hardware and fixtures throughout; DuPont Corian countertops with integrated sink bowls; a convection oven; six-panel residential-style passage doors; pillow top mattress; and under-bed storage.

In addition, the 2011 Embark features a 22- or 40-inch LCD HDTV in the bedroom; residential hardwood plank flooring in the kitchen; tackless carpeting with padding in both the bedroom and living room; and dimmer switches for the recessed ceiling lights to easily create a personalized atmosphere.

The Embark also comes with electric-powered triple entrance steps, Type A motorhome-style side-hinged baggage doors, hydraulic automatic leveling jacks, an Onan 8,000-watt quiet diesel generator with auto-changeover, and a 120-volt Apex electric roof mount patio awning by Carefree of Colorado.

Safety features include thermal pane tinted safety-glass windows, daytime running lights, a deadbolt lock on the door entrance and a seat belt for every built-in seating position.

Optional features include an exterior entertainment center with AM/FM/CD/DVD stereo system and a 32-inch high-definition LCD HDTV; Winegard satellite dish; recessed fog lights; an 8,000-watt diesel generator; and an exterior refrigerator/freezer. The Customer Value Package features a premium in-dash, touch screen AM/FM/CD/DVD stereo system with back-up camera and monitor, GPS navigation system and Bluetooth capabilities.

Jayco’s Co-Pilot Warranty offers the original purchaser a two-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. In addition, all Jayco products have been Green Certified by TRA Certification Inc., an independent third-party certification agency. The Embark earned top-level certification through the use of sustainable materials, environmentally friendly production methods, energy-efficient components and reduction of waste.
