Statistical Surveys Inc. has announced that Winnebago Industries was the top-selling motorhome manufacturer for 2010. Statistical Surveys is a retail reporting service in Grand Rapids, Mich.
It marks the 10th straight year that Winnebabo has ranked as the top seller. According to a Winnebago news release, Winnebago dealers retailed more Type A and Type C motorhomes combined than any other manufacturer’s dealer group, achieving 18.8 percent market share.
Winnebago Industries also became the top-sellingType A market leader for the first time since 1981. Total Type A market share for calendar-year 2010 was 19.5 percent, compared to 16.6 percent for 2009.
Winnebago's Type A diesel market share was 15.2 percent in 2010, versus 11.4 percent in 2009. Winnebago also led the Type A gas market segment with 23.7 percent market share in 2010, compared to 22.9 percent for 2009.
“We congratulate our loyal employees and our strong dealer network in achieving this top selling position for the 10th consecutive year," said Roger Martin, Winnebago Industries vice president of sales and marketing. "We work very hard to develop exciting new products and to provide support for our dealers and retail customers in the form of what we believe are industry-leading sales and service programs."
Statistical Surveys also reported that the Winnebago ERA was the top-selling Type B motorhome in the industry for 2010. The redesigned 2012 ERA will be reintroduced this spring.
