A 2003 37-foot Fleetwood Pace Arrow
What do you like best about motorhoming with your pets?
They bring us tremendous comfort.
Was it easy for your pets to adapt to motorhome travel?
They have been traveling with us since they were pups, so this is all they know.
Do your pets have a favorite spot in the motorhome?
The front window, were everyone can see them.
What are your dogs' favorite toys?
Shhh, they don’t know they are dogs. They think they are little people. At their age they just want to be with you on your lap and enjoying the life.
Have you modified your motorhome in any way to better accommodate your pets?
We have not needed to modify it yet, but we will be adding a step to the bed to help my old man, Dublin, get on and off the bed a little easier for the next trip. We have noticed he has been having some difficulty due to his age.
What is your favorite activity to do with your pets while traveling?
They are our greeters. They enjoy sitting outside meeting new people and just enjoying new places.
Advice for other motorhome owners who travel with pets or are considering traveling with pets?
Put your cell phone number on the dog tag. That way, if your dog gets loose, anyone who finds him can call your cell phone (which you will have with you) and not your home phone or your veterinarian’s office, which will probably be closed.
Pets are meant to be with you, so train them early for traveling in your motorhome so that you are happy, your pets are happy and those camping near you are happy.
