- Cabbage Beef Soup
- Ingredients:
- ½ head cabbage chopped fine (or use coleslaw ready cabbage in bag)
- 1 large onion chopped fine
- 1 green pepper chopped fine
- 6 celery stalks chopped fine
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 can red kidney beans
- 1-16 oz. can V-8 Juice
- 1-8 oz. can beef broth
- 1-8 oz. can chili ready tomatoes
- 3 tablespoons chili powder
Methods/steps
- Directions:
- Chop all vegetables and cook in water until vegetables are soft. Drain remaining water from vegetables. Set aside.
- Brown ground beef in skillet until browned. Add browned ground beef to cooked vegetables. Add all remaining ingredients. Cook on low heat for approximately one hour stirring occasionally. Serve hot.
