This tour will take you through The Explorations in Antiquity Center, as ancient Middle Eastern culture is brought back to life. The center offers an opportunity to encounter the ancient biblical world through authentic archeological replicas and daily life artifacts displayed in the Biblical Life Artifacts Gallery. Only seven museums are honored to display these artifacts. A unique feature of this FMCA tour is that you will participate in a Seder Meal. Celebrate the historic Passover as you enjoy a four-course Seder Meal, a Jewish family holiday tradition. This delicious meal is served in a room replicating the time period and is sure to be a true first-century encounter. Handicap Accessible.

This riding tour of Fort Benning, The U.S. Army Maneuver Center of Excellence, is a truly unique experience and an FMCA tour exclusive-- only those with military I.D.s are allowed on the grounds of this active military base. However, this tour has received clearance for its attendees! Donít miss out on this opportunity to go behind the gates of this Army base. Next, you will visit the National Infantry Museum, one of the largest military museums in the country, where memorial sites salute the infantrymen, past and present, who served our country during the past 200 years.

Your next stop is the National Civil War Naval Museum, which presents Union and Confederate naval involvement in the Civil War. Lunch is a down-home cooked meal at a local Columbus tradition, Minnieís Uptown, with meat and three side dishes, dessert, and beverage. Handicap Accessible.

On this tour, youíll enjoy truly unique homes from the Civil War era, influenced by Greek revival architecture. You will visit The Cannonball House featuring a hand-molded brick kitchen, and The Sidney Lanier Cottage, home of the renowned poet, musician, and Civil War veteran. Be amazed with a behind-the-scenes tour of The Hay House, a mansion built in the late 1850s, with unsurpassed technological advances during the 19th century. This tour will have you Rocking and Rolling through the Song and Soul of the South. You'll revel in stories about the likes of Little Richard, Otis Redding, Lynyrd Skynyrd, REM, Rolling Stonesí pianist Chuck Leavell, Charlie Daniels, James Brown, Mother of the Blues-- Gertrude "Ma Rainey," The Allman Brothers Band, and even former President Jimmy Carter.

An FMCA tour exclusive, youíll visit with the late Otis Redding's family, his wife, Zelma, and daughter, Karla, at the Big O Foundation and Mini-Museum. They will reveal rare footage of the King of Soul and personal family photos. You will have a chance to pick up a little Macon music to take home on CD or DVD. Visit the homes, offices, crash pads, and favorite haunts of some of Southern musicís most legendary performers, as well as the backstage cast of characters who played a crucial role in their catapult to fame. We'll check out historic music sites that helped shape rock & roll, rhythm and blues, Southern rock, and even the music business as we know it today.

We'll cruise a couple of miles down legendary Highway 41, made famous by the Allman Brothers Band's, "Ramblin' Man," to see the home they shared from 1970-73, lovingly called The Big House.

Along the way, we'll stop at "The Original Home of Southern Rock," Grant's Lounge, where one of Macon's favorite soul food cooks will serve up a LUNCH you won't soon forget, surrounded by photos of all the greats who ever played there, from the Allman Brothers to Tom Petty, on Grant's Wall of Fame. There is nothing better than garden-fresh vegetables. This unique tour experience, only with FMCA tours, will take you to a sustainable vegetable farm located in middle Georgia. Some of the tastiest and freshest produce and brick hearth-baked breads are sold through their Farm Share program and local Farmerís Markets. You will enjoy a tour through the farmhouse built in the 1800s, a 15-acre pecan orchard, six acres of sustainably-grown vegetables, and a wood-fired brick oven. You will learn about growing food organically, biological pest management, cooking with fresh seasonal vegetables, and baking sourdough bread. Lunch will include a selection of pizzas baked in the wood-fired brick oven with your choice of seasonal toppings, local spring mix salad, dessert, and beverage. Garden-fresh spring vegetables and hearth-baked breads will be available for purchase.

Have some furry fun with a visit to a working alpaca farm, Yellow Rock Farms. Enjoy the middle Georgia countryside as the soothing hum of alpacas and llamas come to greet you. This tour will explain the process of raising alpacas, and you will view the shearing process. You will get the opportunity to feed the animals and learn about their daily habits. Helpful hand-outs about the history of the breed will be provided. These adorable animals are considered livestock and you will learn all the various uses they provide from their coats to fertilizer. Raw fiber and yarn from the alpacas will be available for purchase.
