Join the FMCA Supersized Book Club in Minot! John Bayer is known for his newspaper column, O! Pioneer. His observations about life in a small-town in North Dakota as a Los Angeles transplant earned him twice Best Humor Column of the Year by the North Dakota Newspaper Association. In July 2012, John Bayer left Los Angeles and moved to North Dakota. He moved there with a dream in his heart – the dream was to not live in Los Angeles anymore. John quickly discovered that North Dakota is the most "not Los Angeles" place in the world. 15 Months of Winter: My Year in North Dakota contains John's reflections and musing about living in the Dakota that doesn't have Mount Rushmore.

For many attendees, the primary reason they come to FMCA conventions is for the learning opportunities available through the seminar program. Where else can you find so much information available in one place? Throughout the four-day event, industry experts, manufacturer representatives, and service providers convey the latest information about RVs and the traveling lifestyle. The seminar line-up will be updated regularly on this site.
Can you think of a better place to meet other RVers who share your interests than an FMCA convention? Thousands of people who enjoy the traveling lifestyle with a thirst to see and do new things all in one place.
In the convention you will have all sorts of opportunities to get together with others. From the informal parking lot happy hours to the planned area gatherings and other social events, have a great time with old friends and make new ones during your stay.
