Read Member F470953 GAIL RUSSELL's Review of the Tech Connect+ Sprint MIFI Plan Below:

Signed up for FMCA Tech Connect+ and taking advantage of the Sprint Unlimited Hotspot Plan

I would say I started with Hotspot Authorization at 11:30AM, it is now 8PM and my Hotspot Battery is at 32%.

I am very pleased with both the Franklin R-910 Hotspot and the Sprint unlimited data plan. Everything is working flawlessly. I am in a rural area, 30 miles from the nearest city (Buffalo, NY) and I have had enough signal strength to do everything I wanted to do on my computers & tablets and ereaders, fast & flawlessly.

I found the Hotspot intuitive to use and easy to operate. I even liked the way it felt with its rubber armour coating! After 8-1/2 hours of continuous running, the Hotspot feels cool to the touch all over. If I had to tell one Hotspot fault, it would be the display screen font type is very small, making it hard to read.

Tomorrow I will play around with more of my WiFi capable devices and let you know what I think. The unlimited data plan is just great to have! No more running to public hotspots for me like when my old data plan was getting near its limit. I am in Computer Nerd Heaven!

The Falls family visits the Wright Brothers National Memorial in Kitty Hawk, N.C. From left: Leah (asleep in stroller), mom Diana, Elizabeth, Rebekah, dad Ken, Kenny, Katarina, Susanna and Joseph. FMCA membership number: F397720 (we joined in 2008)

Our current motorhome:
2009 Damon Astoria Pacific Edition (38’10”)

Three words that best describe our motorhome:
Family Friendly Coach

The best thing about our motorhome:
Holds all our seven kids (bunk beds, rear bedroom, two couches and a spacious kitchen)

Other motorhomes we’ve owned:
Fleetwood Searcher and a Four Winds model

We decided to buy a motorhome because:
We realize that our fondest memories with our children are when we travel. How do you put a price tag on memories?

Our occupations:
Ken: Vice president of DataSys Communications Inc. -- communications cabling, voice-data and fiber optics networks

We have seven young children from 1 year to 15: Leah, Rebekah, Katarina, Susanna, Joseph, Kenny and Elizabeth.

We travel in our motorhome:
Approximately two to three months of the year.

When we’re not motorhoming, we’re:
Dreaming of motorhoming

Our favorite motorhoming destinations:
Anything out West (Zion, Yosemite, Bryce Canyon, etc.)

Our all-time favorite motorhome trip:
Going cross-country in 2003 and visiting 26 national parks.

Our “dream” motorhome trip:

Our perfect day of motorhome travel:
Is there one?

Our worst motorhoming experience:
A sewer explosion (sort of like in “RV,” the movie)

Our motorhoming pet peeve:
Lack of respect from fellow campers who put their jacks down in the parking lots of commercial entities such as Wal-Mart and Flying J who let us park overnight.  If we don’t respect these peoples’ rules they, will take them away.

The best addition or alteration we’ve made to our motorhome:
None yet

If we could change one thing about our motorhome, it would be:
Changing the way the inverter is hooked up in our motorhome. We love the coach but didn’t realize that the 1,800-watt inverter is only for the TVs. (Maybe we can get Damon to help us out on this one.)

Something about motorhoming that we know now but did NOT know when we started:
I have been camping pretty much my whole life, so I wasn’t too surprised about anything that I can remember. New RVers should rent before they buy, to know what they are getting into.

When driving a motorhome, the most important thing to remember is:
Your vehicle height and that people are going to cut you off

Our advice for other motorhome owners:
Enjoy life and get out there

Our hobbies:
Ken and Diana Falls' motorhome and towed vehicleMaking children! Only kidding. Mine: photography and any type of vehicle that goes fast (cars, motorcycles, four-wheelers). My wife likes knitting, needlepoint, sewing and gardening.

Favorite restaurant:
We have restaurants in this world? Who can afford them with seven kids? Okay, I’m again only kidding. We like the usual fare: Applebee’s, any local fish restaurant, local fare in any city we visit. If it’s crowded it must be good (unless it’s the only place around for 30 miles).

Person(s) we admire:
Pope Benedict XVI, Mother Teresa

Something others would be surprised to know about us:
We have seven kids, and my wife home schools them.

If we were awarded a shopping spree at the store of our choice, the store we’d choose:
For me, Best Buy. My wife -- any crafts store. But realistically, a food store would be the right answer, because seven kids eat a lot.

Favorite campgrounds:
Assateague Island National Seashore (Maryland Side) and Bahia Honda State Park, Florida

When motorhomers visit our state or hometown, they should be sure to see:
Sandy Hook Gateway National Recreation Area and the Twin Lights Navesink Lightstation, nearby

Items that we always keep in our motorhome’s refrigerator while traveling:
Beer. Okay, I’m only kidding as I don’t drink anymore. The number-one Item we keep in our refrigerator is … of course, MILK.

Our advice to new motorhomers:
Go and rent first to find out what features you like. Granted, we all do love it when you buy them and sell them to us real cheap when you find out it’s not the lifestyle you thought it was.

Behind our motorhome, we tow:
We flat tow our 2008 Saturn Outlook with Air Force One Braking on a Falcon towing system. It takes my wife and I only three minutes to either hook it up or remove.

Pets that travel with us:
Duke, a male golden retriever, and Rex, a male dachshund. I must be crazy, right. But with six females in this family we needed to equalize it with a few male dogs.

When we’re online, Web sites we like to visit:
Facebook and Yahoo

A technical or travel tip we’d like to share with other motorhome owners:
Always make sure your sewer hose is firmly attached -- too long of a story to explain here, but use your imagination.

We joined FMCA because:
I liked the magazine with its helpful hints. We just went to our first FMCA convention in Bowling Green and had a blast!

FMCA chapters that we belong to:
None yet but thinking of joining the Roamin’ Catholics

Other comments:
Thank you to all the volunteers who helped with our children at the youth centers during the Bowling Green convention. Without the care they gave to our seven children, we would not have been able to enjoy the exhibits, seminars and other events. And our kids had so much fun as well.
