Read Member F470953 GAIL RUSSELL's Review of the Tech Connect+ Sprint MIFI Plan Below:

Signed up for FMCA Tech Connect+ and taking advantage of the Sprint Unlimited Hotspot Plan

I would say I started with Hotspot Authorization at 11:30AM, it is now 8PM and my Hotspot Battery is at 32%.

I am very pleased with both the Franklin R-910 Hotspot and the Sprint unlimited data plan. Everything is working flawlessly. I am in a rural area, 30 miles from the nearest city (Buffalo, NY) and I have had enough signal strength to do everything I wanted to do on my computers & tablets and ereaders, fast & flawlessly.

I found the Hotspot intuitive to use and easy to operate. I even liked the way it felt with its rubber armour coating! After 8-1/2 hours of continuous running, the Hotspot feels cool to the touch all over. If I had to tell one Hotspot fault, it would be the display screen font type is very small, making it hard to read.

Tomorrow I will play around with more of my WiFi capable devices and let you know what I think. The unlimited data plan is just great to have! No more running to public hotspots for me like when my old data plan was getting near its limit. I am in Computer Nerd Heaven!

FMCA membership number:FMCA members Dave and Doris Bauer
F100336. We joined FMCA in 1988. We've been full-timers since June 2003.

FMCA chapter memberships:
Western Reserve Buckeyes, Elk International

Our current motorhome is:  a 2004 Newmar Kountry Star

Other motorhomes that we have owned:
A 1976 19-foot Teck Class C
A 1983 26-foot Honey Class C
A 1987 31-foot Fleetwood Bounder
A 1992 34-foot Fleetwood Bounder
A 1997 Newmar Dutch Star

We decided to buy a motorhome because:
With four young children, we felt this was the most economical way to have our family see this great country and have quality family time together.

Our former occupations:
Dave is retired after spending 12 years as an insurance agent and 27 years as sales manager with a major insurance company. Doris is retired after 14 years as home office employee of a major insurance company.

Children, grandchildren:
We have four children, five granddaughters and two grandsons.

The best thing about motorhoming is:
Making choices as to where we want to be and seeing our friends and family across the country

When we’re not motorhoming, we’re:
Visiting family in Ohio and South Carolina

If we could meet anyone from history, we would choose:
Will Rogers because of his wit, humor and values

One of our favorite motorhoming destinations is:  Bar Harbor, Maine

Our all-time favorite motorhome trip was:
In 1976 spending two weeks with our family in Upper Michigan and also celebrating our country's 200th year on Mackinac Island on July 4 while each holding hands across America

One of our fondest motorhoming memories is:
Attending the 1980 World's Fair in Tennessee, with our family. Then dropping our oldest son off to college in Kentucky for his first year of college. To say the motorhome was cramped is an understatement.

Our dream trip would be:
Touring Alaska with our motorhoming friends

Our worst motorhoming experience was:
Losing our transmission while going up a large mountain in Sandwich, N.H., with all of our family aboard and mother and father-in-law.

The best thing about our motorhome is:
With three slideouts, it gives us a lot of room. We love our Surround Sound system with XM Satellite Radio.

Something about motorhoming that we know now but didn’t know when we started is:
That full-timing in our motorhome after we retired would be so enjoyable

If we could change one thing about our motorhome, it would be:
Wishing it would grow to be a 43-foot Newmar Essex

The best alteration or addition that we’ve made to our motorhome is:
Adding XM Satellite Radio

Our favorite thing about FMCA is:
The friends, benefits and the local and national rallies

If we could appear as contestants on any TV game show, we'd choose:
"The Price is Right." Doris and I are both good judges of the cost of items.

Our hobbies are:
Dave: golf, treasure hunting, reading, using the computer. Doris: golf, writing poems, reading, and calling to keep in touch with family and friends.

Our favorite way to exercise is:  Walking and riding bikes

Our favorite movie is: Dances with Wolves (1990)

Favorite book: The Bible

Favorite restaurant: Bob Evans

Favorite song: "Only the Lonely" by Roy Orbison

Favorite store: Wal-Mart

Favorite campgrounds:
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground in Orlando, Fla., and Whispering Hills RV Park in Shreve, Ohio

When motorhomers visit our state or hometown, they should be sure to see:
Marblehead, Ohio, and the Lake Erie Islands in northern Ohio. Also, Amish country in Holmes County.

Items that are always in our motorhome refrigerator while we’re traveling are:
Swiss cheese, wine, pop

Our advice to new motorhomers is:
Be sure to join FMCA and a local chapter. Always ask questions of other motorhomers for your best source of quality information.

Behind our motorhome, we tow:
A 2002 Chrysler PT Cruiser four wheels down using a tow bar

Our favorite activity to do inside the motorhome is: Reading

Always make full use of the benefits available to you through FMCA. Join a local chapter. Don't be afraid of getting involved in FMCA at the local and national levels. That's what makes it a great organization.
