Verizon News Update: Disappointing news about our newest benefit

Hello Members,

We thought today was going to be a day of celebration. As you’ll read in the July of Family Motor Coaching magazine, our expectation was that we would be opening the doors to the latest and greatest member benefit – unlimited, on-the-go internet access at a great price for all FMCA members.

Unfortunately, despite months of negotiations, approvals and green lights, the provider (Verizon) pulled the plug at the last second. Magazines had been printed, pre-announcements tested, and the staff was standing by for the flood of enrollments.

We are very sad. And disappointed. We were so excited to bring you this program because we know how important staying in touch – with reliable access – is while you’re on the road.

Please don’t give up on us. After the unexpected cancellation by Verizon, we’re dusting ourselves off and getting back in the ring. We promise to keep working to bring you benefits of value and quality – the kind of service you expect from your RV family.

Thanks for understanding. And keep having fun – because that’s what FMCA is all about!

If you joined FMCA just for the Verizon Unlimited Plan, Please Read This!

Dear Members,

Welcome to the FMCA family!

Ordinarily I wouldn’t write to a new member before we’ve even processed your enrollment, but this has been an unusual week around FMCA.

Last week we launched what we believed was going to be an awesome new benefit exclusively for FMCA members.  After all, our members are on-the-go motorhome owners and want to stay in touch while they travel! We’ve even heard that some people signed up for membership just to gain access to the Verizon unlimited on-the-go internet service.

But then, despite months of negotiations and approvals, Verizon unexpectedly pulled the plug.

If the Verizon benefit was your only reason for joining and you want to cancel your membership, just email membership@fmca.com and we’ll take care of it.

Family Motor Coaching magazine covers all facets of motorhoming and is one of FMCA members' favorite benefits.Each issue contains colorful travel features that describe areas of the United States, Canada, and beyond that are of interest to motorhomers, as well as reviews of new motorhomes, technical and how-to articles, and special features that focus on various aspects of the RV lifestyle.

Abundant classified and display advertisements keep readers up-to-date on the latest products available in the RV marketplace. 

The digital edition is available to FMCA members and Family Motor Coaching magazine subscribers, at: www.fmcmagazine.com.

Read the digital edition mobile devices such as the iPad and Android tablets; the iPhone and other smartphones; and on desktop and laptop computers.

Members and subscribers also can download a PDF copy of the magazine to enjoy during times when they do not have an Internet connection.

The digital edition is available online approximately one week before the print version arrives in mailboxes. Readers will get first look at the latest issue and its great content.

As a service to the family and commercial members of FMCA, FMC magazine offers Free Product Information online. Readers can request information about a product or service they have seen advertised in a particular issue of FMC magazine. Information is available for up to a year.

The information request is directed to the advertiser in question via a report that lists your address and the advertisement in which you expressed interest. Once the advertiser receives this report, the company will then forward the appropriate information directly to you.

To submit your request for advertiser information at FMCA.com, visit FMC magazine's Free Product Information page and search for an advertiser by company name, product category, or magazine page number. Provide your contact information and submit your request. You can ask advertisers to contact you with more information, and you also can connect directly to their Web sites in most cases.

Also included with your subscription to Family Motor Coaching is the annual directory/member benefits guide issue, published in January. FMCA members will want to keep this directory handy as they travel, as it includes a variety of useful information to which they can refer throughout the year.
