Monaco RV has launched its 2011 Diplomat Type A motorhome. The 42- and 43-foot models are built on the custom Roadmaster RR10R chassis with tag axle. The 40-foot model utilizes the RR8R chassis.
A 425-horsepower engine powers the 2011 Diplomat, and four new floor plans are available, including a full-wall slide and bath-and-half layouts.
“We focused on the livability of the floor plan offerings for the 2011 Diplomat,” said Mike Snell, senior vice president of sales and product development. “The four floor plans deliver, each offering unique design layouts offering the most space utilization. The full-wall slide and bath-and-half layouts are standouts with our customer base ….”
The interior of the 2011 Diplomat is available in three décor choices with ceramic tile throughout the living area, kitchen and bath.
All cabinetry in the Diplomat is made of solid hardwood and is available in two wood choices. The kitchen boasts a polished radius solid-surface countertop and stainless-steel sink, backsplashes in decorative ceramic tile with glass accents, and a pull-out countertop extension with drawers (on the 42- and 43-foot models). A residential-size refrigerator is an option on all floor plans, as well as a stackable washer and dryer.
The bedroom of the 2011 Diplomat features raised-panel hardwood cabinetry throughout, plush carpet, day-night pleated blackout shades, solid-surface nightstands, and a large 26-inch LCD TV with optional DVD player.
The 42PAQ and 43DFT are bath-and-a-half floor plans that feature a full private bath beyond the bedroom.
Full private bath highlights include a shower, double vanity (43DFT) or single vanity with linen storage (42PAQ), solid--surface countertops and tile backsplash, and full rear wardrobe.
Bold, new dynamic graphics highlight the Diplomat exterior along with full body paint. An exterior entertainment center with 20-inch LCD TV is available with an optional DVD player in the storage bay ceiling.
Other options include a GPS navigation system, a central vacuum system, an RV San-con holding tank flush system, an auto generator start and a bedroom ceiling fan.
The manufacturer’s suggested retail price starts at $304,350. For more details on the Diplomat, including a video tour, please visit www.monacocoach.com.
