Sacred Rocks Reserve and RV Park, located in the mountains 60 miles east of San Diego, Calif., is offering horse camping.
A horse camping kick-off event will be held Oct. 15 to 17, 2010, and horse camping will be free during that weeked. Space is limited, so guests are asked to make a reservation on a first come, first served basis. Call (760) 845-1085 or e-mail [email protected].
Horse campers must bring their own RV with horse containment, proper horse health certificates and weed free, seed free food.
A complimentary barbecue is planned for Saturday, Oct. 16, at 5 p.m. for all horse campers.
The cost for horse camping after the complementary weekend will be $25 per night.
Sacred Rocks Reserve & RV Park is a 163-acre wilderness reserve located at 1331 Shasta Way, Boulevard, Calif. The park is surrounded by outcroppings of giant rocks, 400-year-old oak trees, and miles of trails in the San Diego High Country. Amenities include a 150-foot arena and an outdoor pool and spa.
