How often does your pet accompany you on motorhome trips?
We are full-time motorhomers, so he goes where we go.

What type of motorhome do you own:
A 2000 Fleetwood Discovery 37V

What do you like best about motorhoming with your pet?
He is a constant companion and helps us meet folks. People are always wanting to pet him, and that starts a conversation.

Was it easy for your pet to adapt to motorhome travel?
Yes and no. He has been riding with us since he was 8 weeks old. Once, we drove our car over cattle guards and he started to get anxious. Ever since then, it usually takes him until after midday to calm down on motorhome trips.

Does your pet have a favorite spot in the motorhome?
Several: in the recliner, on the bed and at front window.

What are your pet’s favorite toys?
Rubber squeaky toys and balls.

What is your favorite activity to do with your pet while traveling?
We walk him on a leash a lot. If he sees squirrels and is off-leash he loses his head and takes chase. We also like to play ball while I sit in my lounge chair enjoying the sun.

Advice for other motorhomers who travel with pets or are considering traveling with pets?
Do not ignore your pet. If you are going to be gone from the motorhome for more than eight hours, consider boarding. If leaving for short periods, put a sign in your window that states: If an emergency arises with the motorhome please rescue me!
